On the 27th & 28th of August in Kendal, Cumbria Love Arts where commissioned to be apart of their first arts festival! What a fantastic time Love arts had providing free art workshops for kids at the Lakes Alive Festival.
Kendal exploded last bank holiday weekend with vibrant illuminations, digital delights, intimate performances, amazing installations and spectacular happenings. We hope that you got involved with all the cultural activites by working with international artists and established and emerging performers.
The Lakes Alive festival, based in the South Lakes in Cumbria also hosted Luke Jerram’s giant inflatable moon based in St Thomas’s church, in Kendal. It was breath-taking and the children used this art installation to inspire them, to create their very own space windows.
Alongside the moon we put on art workshops for the whole family which was a huge success with close to 200 children joining us for the weekend. Please view below some brilliant space windows where the children had a chance to envision the solar system and all that may live there.
Thanks Lakes Alive! We hope to join you again next year!
